Weekend food festival returns to Marina Bay with local vendors

The Marina Bay weekend food festival reopened with a smaller vendor lineup and extended evening hours.

Organisers focused on local favourites and family-friendly seating areas rather than large headline acts.

Entry remains free, though some tasting portions require prepaid vouchers sold at on-site counters.

Vendor organisers said this year's lineup emphasises hawker heritage dishes and plant-based options rather than large-scale stage performances. Families can expect shorter queues at popular stalls thanks to a new numbered ticketing system trialled during the opening weekend.

The Singapore Tourism Board noted that waterfront events continue to draw a mix of local residents and visitors, supporting nearby hotels and retail tenants. Security personnel have been stationed at main entrances to manage crowd flow during evening peak hours.

Patrons are advised to use public transport where possible, as parking around Marina Bay remains limited during major weekend events. Shuttle buses will run between selected MRT stations and the festival grounds until 11pm each night.
