Train operators will deploy additional staff at major interchange stations during morning and evening peaks this week.
The advisory follows higher passenger volumes linked to school reopenings and several downtown events.
Commuters are encouraged to plan extra travel time and to use mobile apps for live crowding updates where available.
Additional staff will be positioned at platform entrances at Dhoby Ghaut, Jurong East, and Paya Lebar stations, where interchange traffic typically peaks between 7:30am and 9am. Wayfinding signage has been refreshed to direct passengers toward less crowded platform sections where train doors align.
School reopenings and a series of downtown conferences have contributed to higher-than-usual passenger volumes this week. Operators said train frequency during peak hours remains at normal levels, but boarding times may lengthen when crowds surge.
Passengers with flexible schedules may consider travelling before 7:30am or after 9:30am to avoid the busiest intervals. Wheelchair users and parents with strollers can approach station staff for assistance at designated boarding points.
