A refurbished fitness corner with updated equipment opened at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park following a three-month upgrade.
The area includes shaded rest points and clearer signage showing suggested exercises for different age groups.
Park visitors are reminded to wipe equipment after use and to avoid peak crowds during early morning hours.
The upgrade replaced ageing pull-up bars and rusted leg-press stations with weather-resistant equipment rated for outdoor use. NParks consulted fitness instructors and senior wellness groups when selecting machines suitable for a wide range of abilities.
Regular park-goers said the new layout improves sight lines along the jogging path and reduces congestion around the most popular stations. Drinking fountains near the fitness corner were also refurbished as part of the same works package.
Community events to mark the reopening will include free stretching sessions led by certified trainers on the first two Saturday mornings after launch.
